Growing Young:
a learning community of chuches
Growing Young is a learning community of churches supporting one another in mission and growth and who desire to engage with younger generations.
Background & Purpose
It was Fuller Seminary in Pasadena who started this strategy to help churches engage with younger folks.
Through research Fuller discovered six common factors amongst churches that were growing. These principles are explored over a series of sessions in the course.
Growing Young is looking to help change the culture in the local church. It is therefore a long and slow journey with churches identifying where they are and where they want to be in the future as regards mission.
The two year long programme consists of regular conferences, webinars and coaching calls as each church with support discerns its next step and tries to maintain its focus on its mission.
We have in Scotland, under the direction of the Revd. Graham Duffin from Loanhead, already had two cohorts of churches engaged in this two year long programme. One national and one at Presbytery level. We have adapted the Fuller material and stories so that they relate to the Scottish context.

We are recruiting for the next cohort of churches.
Do get in touch with the Mission Officer if your church wishes to be part of that next cohort.
